Equity Market Operations

Introduction
Market operations largely involve three functions: Front office, Mid-office, and Back office. They ensure the trail of the trade from its generation to its final settlement and payout. They are the backbone of trading. A firm that performs these functions efficiently adds strength to the market integrity. Efficiency of these functions is crucial for policy makers and regulators in the markets. However, it is observed that there is a general dearth of skilled manpower in these areas. Besides, the job potential for skilled resources is not limited to metros but across the country where trading activities are concentrated. Those who complete this course will have wider employment opportunities to get inducted into the equity market operations, such as dealing room, risk management, and clearing and settlement.

It is believed that such certification will not only build capacity in these vital areas but also provide an inventory of skilled resources at one place to potential recruiters.
